Taste of Christmas confirms line up for 2012

Taste of Christmas has confirmed its final tantalising line up of restaurants and chefs for the 2012 event, with some of the world’s finest eateries and gastro names set to add sparkle to the festivities at London’s ExCeL this year.

As the trend for authentic street food continues to climb, Taste of Christmas is proud to confirm some of the UK’s very best street food eateries will be present, creating a taste sensation for any food connoisseur.

Taste of Christmas visitors will be spoilt with a vast selection of modern street food, such as The Bowler - labelled the hottest place to munch this season serving mouth watering meatball dishes, Hix’s Fishdog offering a classic take on the fish finger sandwich, Yalla Yalla an authentic Lebanese and Middle Eastern street food seller and Jamie Oliver’s Great British Artisan Hot Dogs from Union Jacks - with a chilli kick to knock your Christmas stockings off!

World’s most famous chef, Jamie Oliver, will open the show on Friday December 7th - and is sure to attract a packed crowd for his live cooking demonstrations of seasonal and delicious recipes to see you through the winter months.


Michel Roux Jr will welcomes guests

Taste of Christmas 2012 will also showcase exceptional festive cooking from the world’s top chefs including; Michel Roux Jr, Jean Christophe Novelli, Valentine Warner, The Baker Brothers, Ben Tish, Vivek Singh, Mary Berry, Rachel Allen and Bruno Loubet all demonstrating live on the ever-popular Electrolux Taste Theatre.

Restaurants cooking up a festive storm will be recent winner of Best new Latin American restaurant, Time Out Eating & Drinking Awards 2012, Lima, Gourmet French bistro Comptoir Gascon, modern Spanish Tapas bar Salt Yard and contemporary Indian experience, Cinnamon Soho.

For those wanting a sit-down dining experience, the Festive Feasting ticket at the Taste of Christmas pop-up restaurant will not disappoint; providing visitors with fast track entry to the event, a glass of mulled wine on arrival, plus an exclusive two course dining experience with wine.

Guests will also get to take home a Taste recipe book (worth £10) and the ticket will provide access to all theatre sessions, tastings, demonstrations, master classes, Taste restaurants, the boutique food market, and a complimentary event guide.


Jamie Oliver will open the show

New for 2012 is the High Tea ticket.

The morning and afternoon tea sessions feature an indulgent menu of tasty treats created by Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts, glass of prosecco and delicious teas.

The high tea ticket also includes fast track entry to the event and a copy of Taste Recipe Book (worth £10).

Additionally for those looking to stock up on their Christmas shopping, the culinary event of the year boasts over 250 fine food and boutique market stalls selling handmade gifts and culinary presents.

What’s more, guests can relax and sip festive drinks whilst the Christmas Choir create a winter wonderland atmosphere.

Tickets are priced from £18.50. The event will take place from December 7th-9th.
