TAP Portugal recognised at World Travel Awards

TAP Portugal has been recognised at the Grand Final of the 2012 World Travel Awards, taking home the award of World’s Leading Airline to South America.

This marks the fourth consecutive year TAP Portugal has received the accolade, which is voted for by travel industry professionals and consumers across 171 countries worldwide.

TAP Portugal offers 74 weekly flights from the UK to Brazil, via Lisbon, Portugal, making it the most frequent flyer to the country.

Not only does TAP offer an extensive range of destinations, it also makes convenient onward connections throughout Brazil with Star Alliance partner TAM.

The open-jaw flights provided by TAP allow travellers to Brazil to maximise their travel experience through being able to fly out from a different airport to their arrival.

The World Travel Awards is regarded as one of the most prestigious marks of excellence in the travel and tourism industry.

The Grand Final Gala Ceremony took place in New Delhi, India, marking the end of a year long search for the most popular travel and tourism brands of the past year.

Regional heats took place in destinations including Singapore, Dubai and Portugal.
