Just in time to beat the summer heat, the talented mixologists in Four Seasons Hotel Austin’s Lobby Lounge are adding several new and refreshing summer cocktails to the menu. From Texas-style sips to seasonal classics, there’s a summer cocktail for everyone.
Among the new summer fruit-flavored offerings are the Gin n’ Jam – made with Texan Roxor Gin and housemade seasonal jams – and the simple-yet-satisfying Watermelon Thump, which combines Savvy Vodka with fresh watermelon juice.
For a fruity twist on two rum classics, try the Texas Peach Mojito with Treaty Oak Rum, roasted Texas peach purée, lime juice, mint and simple syrup or the Ginger Rum Punch, which features Mount Gay Rum, Canton Ginger Liqueur, fresh lime juice, pineapple juice and ground nutmeg.
Wine lovers who like a little fruit on the palate will enjoy the light and refreshing taste of the Wildflower Spritzer, made with Duchman Family Bianco, Treaty Oak Rum, Texas wildflower honey, citrus and a splash of Izzy grapefruit.
Other seasonal drinks that draw on the uniqueness of Texas include the Tipsy Palmer, which mixes Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka with fresh lemonade and brewed iced tea and The Paloma, featuring Z Reposado Tequila, fresh lime and Izzy grapefruit with a salted rim. Or, cool off the inner cowboy and order up the Ranch Hand, a spicy-sweet concoction that combines Z Silver Tequila, fresh lime and jalapeno-infused simple syrup.
