South West Trains run extra services during Hampton Court Palace Flower Show

South West Trains has announced that it will run extra services to and from the Hampton Flower Show to benefit the thousands of people who will visit the event. Thousands of keen gardeners from across the globe are expected to travel to Hampton Court Palace in Surrey where the famous Hampton Court Palace Flower Show will take place July 2012.

To assist visitors with their journeys, South West Trains, will run extra trains to and from Hampton Court Station, providing four trains an hour at peak travel times to and from the popular show.

Tim Shoveller, Managing Director of the South West Trains/Network Rail alliance said: “The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show is the largest annual event of its kind in the world and is just one of many high profile global events that takes place on the South West Trains network. We are adding extra services to make travel as convenient as possible for visitors. We look forward to welcoming show visitors on our trains next week and hope they enjoy this spectacular event.”

Every year, Hampton Court Palace Flower Show wows the crowds with its spectacular array of flowers from dahlias to fuchsias. This year’s central feature focuses on community gardening, highlighting how gardening can bring people together and improve communal spaces.

The new low cost/high impact gardens show what can be achieved with a realistic budget and size of plot, and the new show garden category World of Gardens will impress visitors alongside the regular show and conceptual gardens. In addition, the Floral Marquee and Plant Village will be brimming with the UK’s premier plant nurseries and experts.
