South African Minister for Tourism arrives in Seychelles

South African Minister for Tourism arrives in Seychelles Minister Marthinus Van Schalkwyk of South Africa being greeted by Seychelles Minister Alain St.Ange as he stepped off the Air Seychelles flight from South Africa.

Minister Marthinus Van Schalkwyk, the South African Minister responsible for Tourism, arrived in Seychelles last night on a short working visit which is aimed at strengthening the working relationship between South Africa and Seychelles in the field of tourism. Minister Van Schalkwyk and his delegation which included high officials from his Ministry and a delegation of South African tour operators were greeted on their arrival by Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture; Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board; and Mrs. Elsia Grandcourt, the former CEO of the Board who is moving to Europe shortly to take up a new position also in the world of tourism.

During his visit, Minister Van Schalkwyk of South Africa will also be meeting with Minister Jean Paul Adam, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Foreign Affairs, before signing an MOU with the Seychelles Tourism Minister Alain St.Ange.

A Trade Workshop has been organised for the South African tour operators to meet representatives of the Seychelles private sector trade alongside the officials of the Seychelles Tourism Board.
