Sligo Tourist Office moves to prime location

The Sligo tourist office has moved from Temple Street to the GHQ Building at the top of O’Connell Street in the heart of Sligo town. The doors opened on Friday 22nd June 2012 and Martina Bromley, Head of Operations for Failte Ireland North West welcomed the move commenting on the improved location of the office -

“This is great news for visitors to Sligo and locals alike. Fáilte Ireland has been very conscious of the need to move the tourist office from its old location on Temple Street to a busier area with higher footfall. Securing the right location was key and certainly it couldn’t be any better than the GHQ Building at the top of O’Connell Street.”

“Positioned in a prime location in Sligo, the team will continue to offer a premier service with a wonderful compliment of staff who will deliver top class local, regional and national information to our visitors.”

Aoife McHugh, Visitor Servicing, Fáilte Ireland emphasised the continued commitment of the team –

“We hope that our tourism industry in Sligo will be involved in promoting the new office to visitors and we will ensure that the team will promote the best of what Sligo has to offer through providing high quality information and good conversation to visitors.”
