eNett International, a joint venture with Travelport and a leading provider of innovative and integrated payment solutions tailored to meet the needs of the travel industry, today announces that leading online travel company Skytours has adopted the vNett solution to facilitate its supplier payments.
vNett is a highly secure and cost effective payment solution that enables virtual cards to make payments to travel suppliers anywhere in the world. A single-use MasterCard virtual account number is issued for a specific transaction eliminating the risk of misuse. The vNett solution reduces financial risk and fraud, streamlines the accounts payable function and provides comprehensive web-based reporting on all payments in real-time.
“Implementing the vNett virtual card solution has allowed Skytours to more efficiently and cost effectively make payments to a wider range of suppliers located throughout Europe and around the world. The platform has seamlessly integrated into our existing systems, assisted in streamlining our accounts payable processes and generated real cost savings for our business,” said Rudi Seiberlich, chief executive officer of Skytours. “The vNett solution is also aiding our international expansion into the US market, by enabling us to make online payments to new suppliers with ease and improved security,” he added.
Brian Staunton, area director EMEA for eNett International said, “eNett International is thrilled to have entered into an agreement with Skytours, a leading online travel agency in Europe. Our innovative virtual card solution has provided Skytours with a secure, cost effective and flexible means of paying their travel suppliers.”
