Sixt launches operations at Miami International

Continuing its ambitious and successful worldwide expansion, Sixt rent a car, Germany’s number one car rental company, has started fully owned operations in the United States.
The southern Florida cities of Miami and Ft. Lauderdale are the first two to be fully operational with locations at Miami and Ft. Lauderdale’s Hollywood international airports. The new stations are open 24 hours, 7 days a week and offer the same premium features and services that Sixt customers worldwide are accustomed to.

The Miami International Airport location can be found at the “Car rental center” where the well known orange and black corporate colors are displayed.
The Ft. Lauderdale location is located only 3 minutes away from the car rental center. Sixt offers shuttle service to and from the car rental center continuously running throughout the day. Sixt’s orange mini-buses can be taken from bus stop # 7 and a special phone number (888-747-SIXT) for on-request transfers has been set up for late arrivals or for customers in a rush.

The Sixt fleet in Florida includes the latest model vehicles from Chevrolet, Ford, Infinity, Mustang, Nissan, Pontiac, Toyota, Volkswagen, Mini Cooper, Jaguar, and from Sixt’s most important partner; BMW.

As a partner of all major US based and international airlines and their frequent flyer programs, Sixt credits miles/points for car rentals and its chauffeur service. Participating frequent flyer programs include United Mileage Plus, US Airways Dividend Miles, Delta SkyMiles, Continental OnePass, Lufthansa Miles&More, Air France Flying Blue, TAM Multiplus Fidelidade and many more.

Sixt was founded in 1912 in Munich, Germany becoming one of the first car rental and mobility service providers in the world. Today Sixt is present in over 100 countries in all continents offering the finest vehicle selection in the market. Clients can choose from small compact cars, convertibles, SUV’s, vans and trucks to the largest Mercedes-Benz and BMW fleet in the world; always at affordable prices.
In the United States Sixt operates out of its Miami headquarters and also has a sales office in New York City.
