Leading international mobility service provider Sixt has signed its first global partnership with the Expedia group.
The agreement provides Expedia, Hotwire and CarRentals.com customers direct access to Sixt’s car rental fleet at more than 2,000 locations across more than 100 countries.
The multi-year, global agreement with Sixt establishes the Expedia group as a key partner in Sixt’s expansion plans.
“We are so pleased for the opportunity to expand our car rental offering through our long-term agreement with Sixt,” said Dara Khosrowshahi, president and chief executive, the Expedia group.
“In partnering with Sixt, we can better serve our customers across the globe with a large premium car rental fleet and great service – a winning combination,” added Khosrowshahi.
Specifically, Sixt plans to extend its presence in the United States – the world’s largest car rental market – by opening both owned and franchised locations across the country.
Erich Sixt, chief executive, Sixt SE added: “With Expedia we are very pleased to have found a partner who corresponds perfectly to our ambitious growth plans, particularly in the United States.
“The cooperation with one of the world’s most important travel companies enables us to better address a wide range of travellers worldwide.
“Additionally, customers on Expedia, CarRentals.com and Hotwire can benefit from very attractive premium mobility services.”
Sixt is considered the World’s Leading Business Car Rental Company by the World Travel Awards.
