Singapore Airlines to migrate to new reservations system

Singapore Airlines and SilkAir have confirmed they will migrate to a new reservations system on July 8th 2012.

During the transition, all SIA and SilkAir flights are due to operate as scheduled.

However, booking, reservation and ticketing services through singaporeair.com,
silkair.com, call centres, service centres and travel agents, as well as KrisFlyer related transactions and online/mobile functions such as SMS alerts, will not be available.

The blackout will last from 18:00 on July 7th Singapore local time until 22:00 the following day.

Internet, mobile and early check-in will not be available for all flights departing on July 8th and 9th.

Customers should bring a printed copy of their electronic ticket to the airport for check-in. Counters will open three hours before the scheduled time of departure for SIA flights and 2 hours before departure for SilkAir flights.

For further details and updates on the transition to the new reservations system, please visit singaporeair.com, or follow Singapore Airlines on Facebook or Twitter.

“Singapore Airlines would like to apologise for any inconvenience during this transition and we thank our customers for their understanding,” concluded a statement from the airline.
