Simon Young named “Hotel Chef of the Year” at Hotel Cateys 2009

The Jumeirah Carlton Tower in Knightsbridge is delighted to announce that its Executive Chef, Simon Young, has been named “Hotel Chef of the Year – 250 Covers” at the annual Hotel Cateys which were announced on 6th November 2009 at a glittering dinner in central London attended by 600 industry guests.

Simon has been overseeing the kitchens of the renowned Rib Room, The Chinoiserie and other Food & Beverage outlets at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower since September 2003. A renowned visionary who is passionate about cuisine, Simon continues to take dining at Jumeirah Carlton Tower to new heights. He regularly delights visitors to the hotel with a choice of culinary offerings from the best of traditional British dishes in The Rib Room to cutting-edge contemporary catering options in The Garden Rooms meeting and private dining venue.

Commenting on the award, Simon said: “I’m delighted to have received this honour from an industry that I have devoted over 25 years of my life to. However, none of this would have been possible without the support and talent of my amazing team who work tirelessly to ensure that the Jumeirah Carlton Tower continues to offer what I believe to be some of the best food in London.”
