Shopping discounts and free rides with MTR
From 1 December 2011 to 31 January 2012, passengers travelling in groups of two or more to cross the boundary to the Mainland at Lok Ma Chau Station will receive MTR Shops Cash Coupons and enjoy one free ride on the Shenzhen Metro network.
When paying a minimum Octopus fare of $26 (including the East Rail Line First Class Premium) to Lok Ma Chau Station on the MTR* , each passenger in the group will be entitled to redeem a $10 MTR Shops Cash Coupon and a Shenzhen Metro Single Journey Ticket Redemption Coupon during the promotion period. Offer is valid while stocks last.
“Passengers travelling to Shenzhen can now enjoy seamless metro connections when they cross the boundary at Lok Ma Chau Station and continue their journey on Shenzhen Metro Longhua Line,” said Ms Annie Leung, Senior Manager – Sales & Marketing of the MTR Corporation. “With all five lines now in full operation on the Shenzhen Metro network, the free ride promotion for passengers will be of even greater value.”
Passengers can simply present their Octopus cards in person at the Customer Service Centre in the paid area upon arrival at Lok Ma Chau Station to redeem the $10 MTR Shops Cash Coupon and Shenzhen Metro Single Journey Ticket Redemption Coupon.
The $10 MTR Shops Cash Coupon can be used immediately at designated MTR Shops, while each Shenzhen Metro Single Journey Ticket Redemption Coupon can be used to redeem one free single journey ticket at the Customer Service Centre of Futian Checkpoint Station of the Longhua Line on Shenzhen Metro network. The single journey ticket must be used on the day of redemption.
