Shooting Stars and iPad 2s Guaranteed at Cayo Espanto

“Cayo Espanto is widely known for providing superior guest services and creating one-of-a-kind vacation experiences,” said Owner Jeff Gram. “We are always creating new and unique opportunities for our guests to have those ‘wow’ vacation moments, which is why they fall in love with Cayo. The addition of the iPad 2, Star Beds and glass floor in our only over the water bungalow are definitely going to deliver something new to our well-heeled guests.”

Cayo Espanto is a destination where every whim is delightfully fulfilled by the resort’s housemen, and now there’s an app for that. The addition of the iPad 2, powered by Intelity ICE (Interactive Customer Experience™) technology, in each of the island’s seven villas makes it even easier for guests to make their requests. Within the next few weeks, guests will be able to request a spa treatment, snorkel excursion or The Espanto Wave, the resort’s signature cocktail, all through the iPad. Although the Espanto App is still being developed, guests can already peruse Cayo’s iTunes library stocked with hundreds of songs and movies, play the most popular iPad games, read the news and surf the Internet.

Taking romance to a celestial level, Cayo’s Star Bed will create a heavenly setting for couples to enjoy the sultry night sky. Lovers can comfortably stargaze while lying in each other’s arms. Available on any of Cayo’s expansive villa docks, the Star Bed is set out on the end for the ultimate viewing experience. Created to provide a fairytale evening, Cayo even guarantees every couple will see a shooting star and if not, they’ll be raising their glasses to a complimentary bottle of champagne.

Rounding out the new amenities is the addition of a glass floor to Casa Ventanas, the resort’s only over the water villa. Similar to bungalows found in distant locales such as French Polynesia and the Fiji Islands, Casa Ventanas is perched out on a 150 foot dock over the Caribbean Sea, the perfect setting to view the area’s colorful tropical fish. Sure to be a favorite for families and couples alike, the glass floor will add an entertaining and relaxing element to the already coveted villa.

Cayo Espanto is situated in the calm waters of the Western Caribbean, off the coast of Ambergris Caye, Belize. Located three miles from the San Pedro Airport, the island features seven villas that offer world-class service with a staff to guest ratio of two-to-one; while at the same time embodying the fantasy of seclusion on a beautiful deserted island. Guests can fly fish right outside their door, opt for scuba diving or snorkeling excursions just 20 minutes away at the second largest barrier reef in the world or enjoy a lavish picnic on a nearby deserted beach
