Sheikh Al Nahyan opens Ocean Garden in Abu Dhabi

Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, chairman of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority has opened the Ocean Garden at the Kids Park in Abu Dhabi.

The development is just the latest in the emirate, with the ADTA itself being recognised as the Middle East’s Leading Tourist Board by the prestigious World Travel Awards earlier this year.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser Al Mualla and owner of the Kids Park Project, Nasser Lakraibani Al Nuaimi, were also present at the opening ceremony.

The event was time to coincide with World Ocean Day, a global celebration of the ocean conservation.

A large number of visitors and families attended the opening event, with a performance from Tunisian singer Latifa among the many highlights.

Besides its value as a tourism destination that attracts family and children, the project has also educational value as it gives them the rare opportunity of interacting with the biosphere.
