Seychelles mind body spirit festival 2013 an integrated tourism event

After the success of its first edition, the Seychelles International Mind Body Spirit Festival 2013 gets the big jump it needed to become, according to its directors, the world’s “must attend” wellness festival of the year…every year… for healthy, discerning travelers.

In a letter addressed to the Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture, Alain St.Ange, David and Marsha Clarke have extended their congratulation to the Seychelles Tourism Board and the Ministry of Tourism and Culture teams for making the festival’s first edition a triumphant success.

“I would like to thank you and your colleagues within the Ministry of Tourism and Culture and also at the Seychelles Tourism Board for all your support over the last nine months or so in helping Marsha and myself breathe life into such a hugely successful concept as this wonderful festival of wellbeing,” quoted the International Mind Body Festival directors.

David Clarke and his wife Marsha have carried out a postmortem on the International Mind Body Spirit Festival 2012 and announced a bigger and more attractive festival for 2013.

The International Mind Body Spirit Festival turned into an annual event in Seychelles will be held throughout twelve days from July 18-29, 2013. Its official opening is set to be on a larger scale with the “Healthy Living Fair” on Seychelles’ largest island, Mahé, putting into its rightful perspective the healthy concept of the festival. Such concept and theme will be further reinforced with a “healthy life” event to officially close the International Mind Body Spirit Festival. In terms of the marketing of the event, encouraged by the success of the 2012 wellness packages, David and Marsha Clarke are planning to broaden the marketing drive of the second editions by attracting more visitors and individuals.

For the first edition of the International Mind Body Spirit Festival 2012, the total number of people who attended the ten workshops amounted to 20 percent of the Seychelles population. The figure compiled by the Directors of the International Mind Body Spirit Festival illustrates clearly the positive turnout of the festival. However, despite the positives, there have been suggestions for heightening awareness of the festival.
