Seychelles Festival of the Sea sees the arrival of their massive floating stage

Seychelles is looking forward to see its first floating stage this upcoming weekend for SUBIOS, The Seychelles Festival of the Sea, and the Seychelles Roundtable Regatta 2011, with the barge already in position at the Beau Vallon Bay on the island of Mahe. Etihad Airways is the Official Parter Airline for the Seychelles Festival of the Sea, and their first flight to the paradise islands landed for the first time in Seychelles last Wednesday launching their four weekly flights to the Seychelles.

The barge, which is 15 meters wide and 45 meters long, has been tugged to the picturesque Beau Vallon Bay since yesterday. Leading sponsors of the events are working full steam ahead to decorate the floating stage to be ready for the staging of the live musical performances and entertainment from Friday, November 4.

The floating stage, which will also be used to host the opening ceremony, prize giving and the closing ceremony, will be a first for the Seychellois artists who will be performing for the three-days of festivities, which will also be animated by performances from the famous international DJ Juicy M together with Seychellois-born professional DJ Antonius and Trinidad and Tobago’s Soca darling, Lima Calbio who first visited the Seychelles for the island’s ‘Carnival International de Victoria’ only in March this year.

SUBIOS, the Seychelles Festival of the Sea, and the Seychelles Roundtable’s Regatta will kick off this Friday, November 4 and will run until the evening of Sunday, November 6.

Other than the musical entertainment, there is also a broad spectrum of other activities in store for this year’s Festival of the Sea and Seychelles Roundtable Regatta.
