Seychelles delegation satisfied with World Routes 2011

Seychelles delegation left the World Routes 2011 Conference in Berlin satisfied that it was worth the time and effort to be present. This was the sentiment echoed by the delegation from the tropical islands of the Seychelles who were attending World Routes for the first time.

Alain St.Ange, CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, was accompanied at World Routes 2011 by Conrad Benoiton, a Director of the Tourism Board; Elsia Grandcourt, the Deputy CEO of the Tourism Board; Gilbert Faure, CEO of the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority; and by Florence Marengo from the Civil Aviation Authority.

The panel discussions and the conferences at World Routes 2011 were seen to be of importance to the Seychelles delegation. “The panel discussions highlighted the importance of the Tourism Board, the airport, and for the airline to work together. This too often we took for granted even in Seychelles,” said Alain St.Ange.

World Routes 2012 is set to be held in Abu Dhabi, and Seychelles has already expressed interest to be present, and the Tourism Board of the islands has said that it hopes that the airport and the national airline, Air Seychelles, will be together to show the united triangular approach to tourism.

At World Routes 2011, Alain St.Ange addressed a panel session, as well as the ministerial address session.
