SATTE focuses on tapping buyers from tier II & III markets

According to UNWTO reports, the number of Indians traveling overseas is set to rise to 50 million by 2020. Industry experts believe that this is due to India’s evolving and burgeoning middle class from smaller cities who are opting for overseas travel as a result of higher disposable income. Recent times have seen foreign tourism boards gearing up to welcome the emergent and increasing number of Indians who are traveling abroad and splurging. NTO’s such as Switzerland, Thailand, Malyasia, Dubai, etc. are aggressively promoting their tourism offerings in unexplored tier II&III markets.

Owing to this in its latest edition SATTE will focus on tapping tour operators and agents from tier II&III cities such as Pune, Ranchi, Bhuwaneshwar, Guwahati, Siliguri, Chhattisgarh and many more. SATTE has evolved into a one of the biggest travel trade events globally and has witnessed buyers from over 43 countries and 74 cities such as Indore, Patiala, Nagpur, Coimbatore, Vishakapatnam, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Nashik and many more in the past.
