Safari Park Hotel, Kenya, welcomes World Travel Awards

Leading travel brands from across the continent are set to complete in the first World Travel Awards Africa Gala Ceremony later today, as Kenya steps up to host the event for the first time.

The event will be staged at the world-renowned Safari Park Hotel & Casino and will acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of the leading travel brands and products in the African hospitality industry.

Over six hundred senior travel decision-makers from across Africa will be in attendance, where they will be treated to a gourmet dinner, world class entertainment and the presentation of the prestigious awards.

Highlights of the evening’s entertainment include the Swahili Jazz Quartet, led by the pioneering saxophonist Juma Tutu and Jacob Asiyo, the world renowned pianist.

Nairobi’s finest cabaret show, Safari Cats, will also amaze the audience with their pulsating rhythms, stunning choreography and colourful fusion of African cultural and classic dance.

Tourism and hospitality organisations from 31 countries will compete for the most coveted and sought after awards in tourism.

Top titles include ‘Africa’s Leading Airline’, ‘Africa’s Leading Hotel’, and ‘Africa’s Leading Destination’.
