Sabre inks deal with luxury online travel agency

Sabre Travel Network has signed a technology agreement with online luxury travel agency (OTA) Luxtripper. Sabre will provide web services technology to the OTA via its booking engine, which is powered by Traveltek. Luxtripper customers will also gain access to all of Sabre’s online content.

Nena Chaletzos, the chief executive of luxtripper, said: “As the business grows, it’s vital our operations are built and supported by the best possible technology. The web-services technology will enhance our processes and ensure we are driving the business in the right direction. Likewise, access to Sabre’s online content will increase the quality of choice available for customers.”

Mark Murray, Sabre’s director of online sales in EMEA, said: “We are investing in significant resources to grow our online offering across the region. We work closely with OTAs like to provide them with the best possible online travel technology to support their growth targets.”

Luxtripper has selected more than 35,000 holidays that have been given positive online reviews by customers. This content powers Luxtripper’s Where to go When search engine, which allows customers to browse holiday options based the month, weather and type of holiday experience they want. is one of more than a dozen European OTAs to have signed technology deals with Sabre in the last six months.
