Sabre Corporation, a global technology provider to the travel and tourism industry, has appointed Carsten Schaeffer as Senior Director of Sabre Travel Network, Central Europe.

Schaeffer will lead Sabre’s travel agency business in the central European region, covering Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Nordic countries and Poland. In this high growth region for Sabre, he is responsible for generating new business and delivering ongoing value to Sabre’s existing agency customer base.

He joins Sabre with more than two decades of airline, tourism, marketing and sales experience primarily gained from Lufthansa, where he has held several leadership positions including Managing Director of Miles & More International, and most recently as Vice President Sales & Services, Southeast Europe, Middle East, Africa.
