Royal Brunei signs codeshare deal with Turkish Airlines
Royal Brunei Airlines has signed a codeshare agreement with Turkish Airlines which allows for passengers to connect from Bandar Seri Begawan to Istanbul via Dubai.
The agreement was signed in Antalya, Turkey, by Karam Chand, Royal Brunei chief commercial officer and Ahmet Bolat, Turkish Airlines chief investment and technology officer.
Under the codeshare agreement, Turkish Airlines will add its ‘TK’ code to RB operated flights from Bandar Seri Begawan to Dubai and vice versa.
On a reciprocal basis, Royal Brunei Airlines will add its ‘BI’ code to TK flights from Istanbul to Dubai and vice versa.
Chand said: “Royal Brunei Airlines is delighted with the recent enhancements of the commercial cooperation between both airlines.
“We are keen to further expand the codeshare arrangements in the future to our mutual benefit.”
Flights will debut on February 22nd.
Bolat stated: “As Turkish Airlines, we are extremely pleased to sign this codeshare agreement with Royal Brunei Airlines, which will provide us to sell our offline destination Bandar Seri Begawan via Dubai and improve our partnership to maximise the travel opportunities offered to our passengers through the networks of both airlines.”
