Rotana Hotels & Resorts sponsors WTM registration

Rotana Hotel & Resorts is to sponsor registration at World Travel Market 2011, the leading global event for the travel industry, to be held in London from Monday 7 to 10 November 2011.

Rotana Hotel & Resorts is sponsoring WTM registration for the second year in succession as part of its plan to promote the brand to the global travel and tourism industry.

The hotel group is especially looking to promote its Egyptian properties as the country’s tourism industry picks up following this year’s revolution.

Rotana’s four resorts in Egypt, the five-star Grand Rotana Resort & Spa – Sharm El Sheikh and the four-star Coral Beach Rotana Resorts in Tiran, Montazah and Hurghada are all witnessing a steady increase in leisure business since the difficult times faced in Egypt and its impact on tourism. Airlines from the UK and the traditional European feeder markets to Sharm and Hurghada are planning to increase their flights as of November and Rotana Resorts are already gearing up to welcome guests.

“We are working very hard to bring Sharm El Sheikh back to its glory days as a leading tourist destination within the region. The UK is one of our prime markets and we are placing a lot of emphasis on developing this market further and this is why we will be exhibiting amongst a large number of international and high profile companies,” said Karim Nahas, General Manager of the Grand Rotana Resort & Spa, Sharm El Sheikh.

The resort also hosts Zen the Spa at Rotana, with nine treatment rooms overlooking sea view and a team of professional Thai therapists, as well as a wide variety of recreational and family orientated facilities.

The three additional four-star properties include the Coral Beach Rotana Resort – Tiran, Coral Beach Rotana Resort – Montazah and the Coral Beach Rotana Resort – Hurghada offer generous landscaping and unique locations on the Red Sea.

Reed Travel Exhibitions Director World Travel Market Simon Press said: “I am delighted to again have Rotana as the registration sponsor at World Travel Market to help it promote its global hotel offering, especially its Egyptian properties.
