The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company has announced Bali, Indonesia as the next stunning location of a Ritz-Carlton Reserve.
The exclusive resort is set to open in Ubud in the summer of 2015, joining the beautiful collection which includes Phulay Bay, Thailand and Dorado Beach in Puerto Rico.
The location of Ubud is in the spiritual and cultural heart of Bali, in a district famous for its arts and crafts as well as temples and monasteries.
This exceptional property occupies a prime yet secluded position in the gentle hills along the Ayung River, with views of Bali’s famous terraced rice paddy fields adjacent to the village temple.
“We are delighted to announce another exclusive Reserve project to the hand-selected portfolio.
“Bali is a well established destination for luxury travellers and we are confident that our resort in Ubud will raise the bar for style, service, and quality in the area,” said Herve Humler, president, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.
“The Ritz-Carlton Reserve offers guests a contemporary interpretation of the local lifestyle and culture. The concept is simple, yet exudes style and luxurious levels of comfort.
“The resorts provide a complete escape to the unexpected; a private, exclusive leisure experience that blends unique elements of the local culture, history, and heritage with intuitive individual service, exquisite indigenous design, casual ambience and respect for the surrounding environment.”
Architectural design inspiration is taken from the unique environment of Ubud.
The property will have 60 intimate villas and suites showcasing local architectural features indigenous to Bali with elements of the local art scene giving the Ritz-Carlton Reserve a powerful yet rare sense of place.
