Rezidor announces Radisson Blu, Riyadh North Ring Road, Saudi Arabia

The Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the fastest growing hotel companies worldwide and a member of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, announces the Radisson Blu Hotel, Riyadh North Ring Road in Saudi Arabia. The property features 252 rooms and is scheduled to welcome the first guests in Q1 2015.

Saudi Arabia continues to be a priority market for Rezidor in the Middle East. The country’s strong economy, natural resources and domestic markets substantiate an aggressive market strategy. “We are glad to further strengthen our presence in Saudi Arabia. This is already the second hotel we have signed in the Kingdom this year”, said Kurt Ritter, President and CEO of Rezidor.

Speaking on behalf of Mafaz International Development Company (owner and developer of the hotel), General Manager Emad Al Hubayyeb commented: “We are delighted to announce this project and the partnership with the renowned Rezidor Hotel Group and the Radisson Blu brand. The hotel market in Riyadh and Saudi Arabia is very promising, and our excellently located hotel will offer state-of-the-art facilities and first class services.” The hotel will be part of a mixed used development that also comprises offices, and internationally branded ladies spa, and high end retail space.

Riyadh is the capital and the largest city in Saudi Arabia and GCC. It has a population of over 5.5 million and is considered to be the Kingdom’s main business and commercial gateway. The new Radisson Blu hotel located on Riyadh North Ring Road will feature 252 stylish rooms including 18 suites. It will have 2 restaurants and a lounge, 1,600sqm of meeting space (including a 1,200sqm ballroom), a business centre and a fitness centre with outdoor swimming pool and juice bar. Female guests of the hotel will enjoy the unique 1,500sqm spa.

Situated in Riyadh’s new expansion zone in the north, the hotel will provide easy access to the King Abdullah Financial District, the city’s commercial and shopping areas, as well as Riyadh’s King Khaled International Airport (15-20 minutes’ drive away).
