Radisson Blu Hotel reopens following refurbishment

Radisson Blu Hotel reopens following refurbishment

Exciting times for tourism in Scotland. With Edinburgh earlier outlining plans for an International Business Gateway, Glasgow has taken its turn in the limelight, with the completion of an extensive refurbishment at the Radisson Blu Hotel.

The 250 bedrooms and suites at the property have all been completely redeveloped, ensuring it maintains its position as one of the most stylish and contemporary choices in the city.

All guest rooms have been transformed with new decor, furniture and furnishings.

To cater for guest’s differing tastes and styles, the hotel’s rooms have been designed in two distinctive styles.

City Club Rooms offer a light and airy, cool yet comfortable space; with wooden floors, splashes of red furniture and sub culture artwork, all adding to the modern, cosmopolitan feel.

Meanwhile, Gallery Rooms provide a darker, moodier ambience with cosy carpets, darker decor, Brian Sweeny’s striking monochrome images of iconic music artists together with vintage posters from Glasgow’s iconic Sub Club.

This artwork reinforces the hotel’s location within a hub of music venues and clubs…not forgetting bang in the heart of the city centre within walking distance to the best shopping outside London.

The hotel continues to provide the high end amenities that guests have always enjoyed - including free high speed internet access and complimentary gym - but has now added additional in-room comforts such as iPod docking stations to further enhance a guest’s stay.

Graeme Gibson, general manager, said “We are delighted to unveil our new look guest rooms - the refurbishment work is a true makeover; completely refreshing the rooms; from new wall colourings, to new flooring, beds, chairs and all soft furnishings, this is a real transformation”

Located just across the road from Glasgow’s Central Station, with direct links from the M8 motorway and 12km from Glasgow International Airport, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow is ideally located for any business or leisure traveller.
