Queensland Rail, great fares on offer

Between October 3 and 14, customers can take advantage of some massive savings with Queensland Rail Travel’s B-Quick sale.

Customers travelling from Brisbane can spend a few days in Bundaberg, or the tourist mecca of Airlie Beach ticket prices include the cost of a coach transfer from Proserpine station.

Queensland Rail Travel General Manager Max Kruse said the fares are perfect for people who can be flexible with their travel dates.

“If you’re looking to get away before the peak holiday season begins, then a trip with Queensland Rail Travel is a very economical and comfortable way of doing it,” Mr Kruse said.
“If customers are willing to be flexible with their travel dates, then we’re prepared to be a whole lot more flexible on price.
“The period between late October and early December is a great time to head to north Queensland, as the weather is perfect before summer really kicks in.
“If you want to explore further afield, to be able to get out as far as Longreach for as little as $109, ex- Brisbane, is quite amazing.
“The great beauty about travelling out there by train is that you get to see the real Outback during your journey west.
“It doesn’t matter where you’re travelling to or from in Queensland; we’ll be able to find you a great deal if you’re up for a holiday over the next couple of months.”
If you’ve ever wanted to take a step up in class on your travels, B-Quick, because these cheap fares are also available in business class on the Cairns Tilt Train for a limited time.
Discounted tickets can be used for travel between October 24 and December 4.
