Qatar Airways reveals Bangkok as next A380 destination

Qatar Airways’ A380 aircraft will soon touchdown in Bangkok, Thailand, following the launch of its inaugural service to London Heathrow introduced earlier this month.

The airline is scheduled to commence A380 service between Doha and Paris Charles De Gaulle, followed by an additional London service by the end of the year.

And now, Qatar Airways is ready to bring this state-of-the-art aircraft to Thailand.

Beginning January 5th, 2015, passengers travelling to and from Bangkok on Qatar Airways QR836/QR833 will enjoy outstanding levels of comfort and service on the new A380.

The aircraft’s state-of-the-art technology will provide a unique and enhanced travel experience by setting new benchmarks for all the key qualities related to passenger well-being.

Qatar Airways chief executive Akbar Al Baker, said: “Bangkok is one of the most popular destinations for travellers around the world, and we recongise the importance of offering convenience coupled with our five-star service to passengers flying to Bangkok from Doha’s Hamad International Airport.

“Thanks to its popularity we have witnessed a steady growth in terms of the number of passengers flying to Bangkok over the years.

“Additionally, the number of Thai passengers who travel with us to destinations around the world has also increased significantly.

“Therefore, we are very much looking forward to kicking off the new year by introducing our new A380 aircraft to Bangkok and providing these passengers with our signature service.”

Wider seats, low noise levels, draught free air circulation and accurate temperature control are among the many advancements on the A380 that reduce the feeling of fatigue normally experienced by passengers after a long flight.

The seats and special amenities in each of the cabin classes are proprietary to Qatar Airways, and have been crafted in close collaboration with the respective designers and manufacturers.

Another key feature of Qatar Airways’ A380 service is its in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity for all passengers – allowing them to send emails for work, surf the web, or stay up-to-date with their social network.

Qatar Airways has seen rapid growth in just 17 years of operation, to the point where today it is flying a modern fleet of 137 aircraft to 144 key business and leisure destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America.
