Providence Hotel joins Wyndham brand

Wyndham Hotels and Resorts is expanding in Rhode Island with the addition of the 136-room Wyndham Garden Providence, the first Wyndham hotel in the state’s capital city.

Just 12 miles from T.F. Green International Airport and serving downtown Providence, Wyndham Garden Providence provides convenient lodging for business and leisure travelers. The six-story, waterfront hotel is located at 220 India Street, offering scenic views of Providence Harbor and immediate access to the 80,000-square-foot India Point Park.

The property is owned and operated by Rhode Island-based The Procaccianti Group, a privately held real estate investment company which currently owns, operates or manages 64 hotels with approximately 17,000 guest rooms in 23 states.

“This newest addition to the Wyndham portfolio represents our continued commitment to adding high-quality properties in key urban markets,” said Jeff Wagoner, president of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts. “With its multitude of businesses, educational institutions and cultural attractions, Providence is an active business and leisure center and the Wyndham Garden Providence is well-situated to serve this thriving community.”

Guest rooms at Wyndham Garden Providence feature 37-inch flat screen televisions, coffee makers, spacious work desks and ergonomic chairs, complimentary high-speed wired and wireless Internet and Wyndham’s signature Be Well™ bedding atop Sleep Number® beds. Bathrooms are appointed with granite floors, massaging showerheads and TrueBlue® Spa Bath & Body Works® amenities. The hotel’s spa-inspired guest rooms boast whirlpools and many accommodations overlook the harbor.
