Priority Pass moves past 900 lounge milestone

Priority Pass has seen its network of partner-operated lounges grow to 900 locations.

This follows Priority Pass’ strongest year of growth so far in 2016, having added 51 lounges to the program between January and April, something that has seen the network acquire new global partners in key regions.

A major contributor to this growth is Priority Pass’ continued success in Asia Pacific, where 24 lounges have been added to its network since January 2016 alone and over 80 lounges since the previous January.

This includes 60 based in China, as well as the growing economic hubs of Cambodia, Indonesia, Taiwan and Thailand, as well as New Zealand.

Priority Pass has also strengthened its foothold in another key market, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), where 22 lounges have been added to its network.

Since April 2015 over 30 new lounges have been added in Russia, seven key locations have been added in the Middle East with further high profile additions in France and Ukraine.

In the United States, Priority Pass has added a further ten lounges to the program, in strategically significant locations such as New York JFK, San Francisco and Orlando.

Stephen Simpson, global marketing director for Priority Pass, part of the Collinson Group, added: “Over the last year we have witnessed faster expansion in the number of lounges available to members than ever before.

“Today’s major milestone, reaching 900+ lounges, is testament to the hard work of the team, who have remained focussed on ensuring all Priority Pass members have access to the best and largest network of lounges across the globe.”

Priority Pass continues to have the largest lounge portfolio of any independent provider.
