Preferred Hotel Group captures mobile audience with Sabre

Sabre Hospitality Solutions has announced that more than 300 members of Preferred Hotel Group have enabled Sabre Hospitality Solutions’ Mobile Guest Connect booking engine.

Participating hotels and resorts from around the world have seamlessly transitioned to this booking engine specifically designed to enhance the customer experience on mobile devices.

“Making hotel reservations via mobile devices is a growing trend, and we are excited to provide our members with another meaningful channel to capture bookings,” said Michelle Woodley, senior vice president, distribution and revenue management for Preferred Hotel Group.

“Sabre’s mobile solutions give our participating member hotels the opportunity to better serve the growing number of customers who research and book on mobile devices, as well as the flexibility for them to target this group with special offers and incentives that will generate more revenue.”

Mobile shoppers are expected to spend £74 billion globally on goods and services by 2015, up from £7.4 billion in 2009. Sabre launched its Mobile Guest Connect booking engine in 2011 to help hotels keep pace with mobile spending, and it has grown widely in adoption over the last year.

The mobile booking engine is fully integrated into the SynXis central reservation system (CRS), making it simple for hotel users to manage this channel via the same dashboard as other distribution channels, as well as offer special mobile only rates and packages that can be tracked with the built-in ROI tracking capability.

Preferred Hotel Group members also have the ability to brand the pages and customise the user experience for their mobile audience using the booking engine.

“We have been focusing on the broader view of mobility through a dedicated mobile division at Sabre for some time now.  The exponential growth in mobile traffic reinforces its role as a consumer tool to navigate life across cultural and geographical boundaries. As smart phones get smarter, they present infinitely more opportunities to empower the hospitality industry and its consumers,” said Robert Dawson, vice president of internet marketing and web development services for Sabre Hospitality Solutions.

“We can always count on Preferred Hotel Group to lead the charge on innovation, utilizing our mobile suite of solutions to embrace this unquestionable growing trend.”
