Talgat Yermegiyaev, Chairman of the Management Board of Astana EXPO-2017met with Le Yucheng, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Kazakhstan on November 5, 2013.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Management Board informed the diplomats on the Company’s activity, its goals and objectives. He noted that holding of the exhibition in Astana would promote the development of the city and the country as a whole in terms of infrastructure and employment creation.

In addition, the Chairman of the Management Board said that since the exhibition complex was originally planned as a part of new capital of Kazakhstan, in 2014 an international competition for exhibition venues construction would be announced. He assured that all information would be available on the Company’s website.

It was noted that Chinese companies have the necessary experience and technology for construction of such facilities taking into account success of “Expo 2010 Shanghai”.

At the end of the meeting, the parties have agreed to continue further exchange of views and close cooperation within preparation for Expo.
