Post takes up leadership of Park Gstaad

Seasoned hotelier Stephan Post has been named as the new general manager of Park Gstaad.

Post joins Park Gstaad this summer from his most recent assignment as general manager of the Intercontinental Davos, also in Switzerland.

Grace Leo, chief executive of Ledunfly Hospitality, stated: “Stephan’s international experience with brands such as Belmond, La Perla World, and Kempinski, will be a real asset, as we continue to strengthen Park Gstaad’s position.

“Post will lead the team at Park Gstaad in offering our guests understated, modern luxury, in a discreet and welcoming atmosphere.”

The appointment will follow the departure of the hotel’s current general manager Daniel Ziegler who has led the property since September 2015.

Ziegler, who leaves to pursue personal and professional projects, will hand over to Post during the summer season in the mountain resort.

Post added: “I am delighted to join and head the team at Park Gstaad, which is a beautiful property.

“The hotel is set in a picturesque village, and is perfect for experiencing Swiss Alpine lifestyle in both summer and winter.

“I look forward to building on our heritage, and to welcoming guests both loyal and new to Park Gstaad.”

Ziegler guided Park Gstaad to one of its most successful winter seasons in 2016-2017, and oversaw the implementation of two new restaurant concepts with Chubut in 2015, and Avenue Montagne in 2016.

Leo concluded: “Daniel has achieved a lot for Park Gstaad, and has built a great team.

“We are very grateful to him for his passion for the property and his keen eye for detail, which were greatly appreciated by our guests.

“We will all miss Daniel, and we wish him the very best for the future.”
