Porini launches a new Escorted Birdwatching Safari in Kenya

More than 1,100 different species of birds are found in Kenya which is an impressive 12% of the world’s total bird population. What’s more, the country still holds the record for the most amount of birds seen in 24 hours, 342, set in 1986. To highlight Kenya’s birdlife, Porini has launched tailor-made birdwatching safaris which are guided by Maasai bird expert, Wilson ole Kasaine, whose encyclopaedic knowledge will enhance the birding enthusiast’s experience.  These trips take in a variety of habitats to see the widest range of species including the Selenkay Conservancy, Amboseli National Park, Lake Elementaita, Lake Nakuru, the Maasai Mara and finishing in the Birds section at the Nairobi National Museum.

Such a rich variety of habitats inevitably attracts a stunning array of birdlife affirming the country’s reputation as a mecca for birdwatchers of all levels of experience.
