Plunge Beach Hotel to open in Fort Lauderdale later this month

Located directly on the beach in the quaint, sun-splashed town of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Plunge Beach Hotel will open later this month.

The property will have 163 rooms in three individual buildings, each with their own laid-back vibe, a marketplace, coffee shop, fitness centre and beach bars.

Located between the A1A and the Atlantic Ocean this is the latest development the Florida Development Group and will be managed by Hospitality Ventures Management Group

This stretch of coast in Broward County remains the only spot in the continental USA where you can snorkel and dive on a living coral reef directly off the beach.

Among the resort’s most anticipated perks is the soon-to-be-famous Backflip Beach Bar, the only true toes-in-the-sand beach bar in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.

It will be open to hotel guests and locals alike, along with Octopus Lobby Gastropub and a coffee shop, serving locally roasted coffee, fresh sandwiches and gelato ice-cream

Tucked away just south of Fort Lauderdale, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is a little corner of paradise measuring just 1.5 square miles.

The town is actually a barrier island between the Intracoastal and the Atlantic, dotted by palm trees, fishing piers and striking examples of Miami Modern architecture.

Every week locals and visitors flock to the farmer’s markets and morning yoga classes at El Prado Park and live music and dance sessions at Anglin’s Square in the town centre.
