Peak of luxury

Peak of luxury

Opening on 8th December at 2350m, the highest point in the Hochzillertal ski area, is a brand new luxury chalet and hotel with its own ski lodge. Nestled between the Wimbachkopf and Marchkopf, the Wedelhütte can only be accessed by gondola or on skis making this 5* luxury experience even more unique.

As any true skier or boarder knows, the need for calories is high when using so much on-piste energy and for many the food is as important as the skiing! At the Wedelhuette, gourmet-loving guests can enjoy fine dining at the Premium Wedler Lounge, which uses the freshest and finest ingredients from the local area, complimented by carefully selected wines from their own wine cellar. For more information visit www.wedelhuette.at

Relatively unknown within the UK ski market, the skiing areas of Kaltenbach and Hochfuegen in the Zillertal offer an excellent alternative to some of the better known resorts. In 2006 the ski areas of Hochfügen and Hochzillertal were connected and now count for 155km of marked piste. Kaltenbach offers wider, more flattering pistes and is ideal for mastering technique, whilst Hochfuegen is more for the advanced skier with some fantastic off-piste opportunities.

Accommodation in one of the ten Junior Suites starts from 149€ per person per night, including half board. Innsbruck is served by Easyjet (www.easyjet.com) from Gatwick, Liverpool and Bristol and by British Airways (www.ba.com) from Gatwick.
