The Pacific Asia Travel Association has announced the extension of its strategic partnership with TripAdvisor.

The strategic partnership will facilitate further engagement on joint initiatives in publishing, research, surveys, events and advocacy.

Most recently, TripAdvisor statistics were included in the recently released report on The Rise of the Young Asian Traveller, produced and published by PATA.

On aligned advocacy issues, PATA is also delighted to further work with Helena Egan as she moves into her new role on global advocacy at TripAdvisor.

Commenting on the announcement, PATA chief executive Martin Craigs said: “Our strategic partnership with TripAdvisor benefits all our members and provides TripAdvisor with invaluable insight and access as it continues to expand its engagement across the Asia Pacific.

“This is a complementary partnership leveraging each other’s strengths as the travel world becomes ever more digital, mobile and consumer direct.

“TripAdvisor assists PATA Next Gen to next generation in its mindset and activities.

“I am also particularly pleased to welcome Sarah Mathews to our executive board, adding much appreciated age, gender and ethnic diversity.”
