Andrey Panov has been appointed to the role of deputy chief executive strategy and marketing at Aeroflot Group.

The appointment was approved by the board of directors earlier.

Prior to joining Aeroflot, Panov had been employed at consulting firm Bain & Co since 2010.

He was progressively promoted from consultant up through the ranks to project leader and then partner in Bain’s Moscow office.

During his tenure as a strategy consultant, Panov earned a reputation as an expert in aviation, finance, digital and education.

He led projects for some of Russia’s largest banks, transportation companies and non-profit groups in the field of education.

At Bain, he also helped develop the strategy for Russia’s first low-cost carrier, Pobeda Airlines.

Panov is a graduate of the mechanical-mathematical department of Moscow State University.
