Frédéric Picard, general manager of Palais Namaskar, Marrakech, has confirmed the latest Masterpiece Hotel from the Oetker Collection will join the prestigious properties that make up the Leading Hotels of the World portfolio.

Leading Hotels of the World is considered the World’s Leading Hotel Alliance by the prestigious World Travel Awards.

Opening as part of the Oetker Collection in April 2012, Palais Namaskar luxury Hotel and Spa in Marrakech, Morocco is an idyllic resort of 41 villas, palaces and suites in a picturesque setting between the Atlas Mountains and the Djebilet Hills.

Spread across 40,000 square metres of scented and manicured Balinese-inspired gardens, Palais Namaskar’s Villas and Suites include a host of palaces, such as a pool palace, mountain palace and water palace.

Other facilities include two restaurants, a bar lounge and a world-class spa focusing on both spiritual and physical healing and featuring a well-equipped gym.

The luxury resort also boasts unrivalled outdoor event and banqueting services.

Frank Marrenbach, chief executive Oetker Collection, declared: “We are very proud to have Palais Namaskar, our latest masterpiece, joining the prestigious Leading portfolio, showing our commitment to quality and service.”

Palais Namaskar marks the Oetker Collection’s first hotel in Africa and the second outside Europe, following the announcement to open Le Bristol Abu Dhabi in 2013.

Ted Teng, president of The Leading Hotels of the World, added: “We are pleased to welcome Palais Namaskar as a complement to our offer in Marrakech.

“This property also reinforces our partnership with Oetker Collection as Le Bristol in Paris and Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden Baden have been long time members of our network.”
