Palace Resorts reveals new resort plans at Tianguis Turistico

Palace Resorts has announced a new resort concept located within signature property, Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort in Cancun.

Comprised of three distinct sections – Moon Grand, Sunrise and Nizuc – Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort’s Moon Grand is poised to become a luxury hotel within the sprawling, AAA Four Diamond resort upon the completion of an ambitious, multimillion dollar enhancement project.

Currently undergoing the 450 million-dollar evolution, which will transform its already luxurious offerings to the highest possible standards, Moon Grand will offer more spacious and luxurious accommodations, exclusive access to premier dining establishments, the convenience of close proximity to the property’s most astounding attractions and much more.

The announcement was made during Mexico’s most important industry event, Tianguis Turistico, where various brand executives are expected to meet with government officials, industry members and VIPs.

Slated for completion by the end of 2016, expansion highlights include the addition of more than 900 guest rooms, a new expansive lobby, seven outdoor pools, including two adults-only swimming pools with a live DJ spinning poolside beats, five swim-up bars, an elaborate beach club, children’s waterpark, gymnasium, Awe-Spa, more than 80,000 square feet of meeting and event spaces, a bowling alley with six lanes, ultra-trendy teen lounge, chic nightclub, 16 food and beverage outlets and more.

“The new Moon Grand will take the concept and our offering to the next level, by creating a world that transcends convention and expectations.

“Moon Grand offers guests the luxury and tailored touch of a boutique experience coupled with the grandeur of a world-class resort destination,” said Gibran Chapur, executive vice president of Palace Resorts.

“While the company will continue to expand to new markets with exciting new properties, Palace Resorts will further cultivate our core portfolio as is made evident with the on-going enhancement of our signature property in Cancun.

“We look forward to sharing our vision for Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort with future guests and the influential attendees of Tianguis Turistico.”
