Otter takes over marketing director position at Cheapflights

Leading travel search platform, Cheapflights, has appointed Samantha Otter as global marketing director.

She will report to managing director Andrew Shelton, with responsibility for driving awareness for the brand and supporting its global growth plans.

Otter joined Cheapflights as global head of marketing in March 2015.

Following the appointment of Forever Beta for creative, and Goodstuff for media, she oversaw a brand refresh and the delivery of Cheapflights’ biggest ever above the line campaign in the UK at the turn of the year – spearheaded by a brand new TV creative.

The campaign has helped Cheapflights to achieve its most successful January ever.

In her new role, she will lead a team of over 30 on the execution of international strategies and integrated campaigns in Cheapflights’ key overseas markets, as well work closely with counterparts at Cheapflights’ sister company – Copenhagen-based search and inspiration platform Momondo.

She will retain responsibility for all brand marketing in the UK.

Otter said: “I’m very excited to be working with our team of innovative and passionate marketers to realise the potential of this brand.

“We’ll be focused on creating and delivering engaging campaigns in our key markets across the world, regaining our rightful market share and attracting new users to our range of dynamic platforms.”
