Travelport and Hungarian travel agency network OTP Travel have announced the successful migration of OTP’s network to the Galileo GDS.

The long-term agreement to move to Travelport was signed at the end of 2012 and the migration effort was completed for all OTP offices this month.

“We are very pleased to have signed this agreement and are thrilled that OTP Travel is showing such enthusiasm for our technology and recognise it as a perfect match for their needs,” commented Balázs Bíró, Country Manager of Travelport Hungary. 

“We’ve enjoyed a number of successes winning new business this year and this is the latest demonstration of a customer selecting us over the competition because we’ve been able to demonstrate that we can respond to local needs and deliver leading products.” Biro added.

OTP, who is a member of the international travel agency chain, Lufthansa City Centre, is adopting a number of Travelport solutions including Travelport Smartpoint App and Travelport Rapid Reprice.
