The Foreign and Commonwealth Office recently lifted its travel restrictions to Luxor and the Cairo area, and Orbital Travel is delighted to announce that its Nile Cruises have been operating since December 2013 and are proving very popular once again.

John McCallum, Orbital Travel’s Managing Director, commented: “We are absolutely delighted that our Nile Cruise programmes have been able to operate as normal since Christmas and the New Year. We have seen enquiry levels for Nile Cruises and Nile Cruise & Stay holidays increase significantly in January and have already taken a substantial number of forward bookings. Following the political turmoil during the summer months and travel restrictions people may be a little hesitant to return to Egypt, but we are completely confident that it is now safe in those areas visited by our Nile Cruise boats. The hotels and cruise boats are not as busy as normal but it’s the ideal time to visit as prices are good and the ancient sites are less busy then usual at this time of year”.
