The One&Only Le Saint Géran in Mauritius has been awarded the title of Indian Ocean’s leading Resort at the World Travel Awards Gala Ceremony in Singapore.

General manager, One&Only Le Saint Géran, Charles de Foucault said: “We are incredibly proud to receive this much coveted award.

WTA, also known as the ‘Oscars of the travel industry’, highlights and rewards those travel brands that have made the greatest contribution to the travel sector every year.

Unlike any other hotel honours, the WTA is based on the votes of travel agents around the world and celebrates excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry - those brands pushing the boundaries of excellence and implementing ground-breaking ideas.

On average 171 countries participate every year with over 5,000 travel organisations.
