Omni Nashville Hotel announces new appointments

Omni Hotels & Resorts announced today the appointment of Dan Piotrowski as general manager, Silvia San Martin as director of sales, and Cindy Berdan as national sales manager for the southeast region for the Omni Nashville Hotel.

The 21-story, 800-room luxury hotel will feature more than 80,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Located in the heart of Nashville’s exciting downtown, Omni Nashville Hotel is connected to the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, and adjacent to The Music City Convention Center and within walking distance of the city’s cultural attractions, restaurants, live music and sports venues.

Piotrowski joins the Omni Nashville Hotel from the Omni Fort Worth Hotel, where he has served as general manager since 2010. Prior to that, he served as general manager for the Omni Berkshire Place in New York City from 2008-2010. Piotrowski originally joined Omni Hotels & Resorts as director of operations at the Omni Los Angeles in 2005. He was quickly promoted to general manager and earned the brand’s General Manager of the Year award in 2006. Also in 2006, Dan was selected by his peers to attend the General Manager’s program at Cornell University. Piotrowski graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration.

San Martin joins the Omni Nashville Hotel from the Omni Houston Hotel where she held numerous positions from sales manager to area director. Prior to joining Omni Hotels & Resorts in 1998, Silvia started her career at the Hyatt Houston. She brings more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry and a proven track record in strategic sales initiatives. San Martin graduated from the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston.

Berdan comes to the Omni Nashville Hotel from Century Park Associates in Hendersonville, Tennessee, where she served as the sales director. Previously, Berdan held numerous sales management positions at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, as well as Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. She began her career approximately 20 years ago at the Orlando Marriott World Center Resort. Berdan earned her Bachelors of Science from Florida State University.
