Ocean Media Group expands event portfolio

Ocean Media Group is to launch a new trade exhibition specifically for the event sector; the UK Venue Show.

Taking place February 1st-2nd , the show will kick off 2012’s season for the event market and will maintain a central London focus with Olympia as its home.

The new show will run in tandem with its respected sister exhibition the Event Production Show and has already drawn the support of the Association of Event Venues (AEV).

The UK Venue Show is set to be a focal point for buyers and decision makers of the wide gamete that makes up the live event sector; from corporate events and product launches to seasonal parties and personal milestone events.

Capitalising on the Event Production Show’s existing pulling power that draws buyers from experiential agencies, associations, corporates and production companies, the show will be focussed on its core market; remaining true to its eponymous title.

The UK Venue Show will provide a professional hosted buyers programme for pre-selected and approved budget holders of events.  Visibility of the show will be maximised through Ocean Media Group’s extensive product portfolio which already includes Access All Areas, the Event Production Show and industry bible the White Book.

Tanya Cohen, event director, UK Venue Show said: “Running alongside the Event Production Show, staying in central London and capitalising on the increasing strength of the UK domestic market means we have an excellent USP - quite simply to give people exactly what they want and have been asking for.  We anticipate over 250 exhibitors and 5,000 visitors over two days in year one - with lots of exciting plans still to be announced”.

Confirmed exhibitor, Kevin Leaver from Millbrook Events commented: “We feel that the UK Venue Show fills a gap in the market, left by the loss of some exhibitions and significant changes to others. We are really looking forward to working with Ocean Media on this exciting new event and believe that this show will offer us a significant ROI.”
