Nottingham passengers entertained with live music

Passengers travelling from Nottingham will be treated to a host of live music from today. East Midlands Trains has made arrangements for singers, guitarists and even a jazz band to keep passengers entertained at Nottingham during the re-signalling works.

Guitarist and singer Sam Jones will kick off the entertainment today with a slot from 10.00 until 12.00.  Other acts include Roy Foster and Warren, who are both guitarists/singers and Jiallo, a four piece jazz band.

Darren Field-Thomas, East Midlands Trains’ Station Manager for Nottingham, said: “We’re now over two weeks into the Nottingham improvement scheme and we’ve had some great feedback from customers on how well the replacement bus services are running.

“We’re constantly looking for extra things we can do to make our customers journeys even better during this time and we’re certain that our live bands will get people’s feet tapping and liven up their journey with us”.

A special temporary entertainment stage has been set up on Station Street for the bands/singers.  Station Street is the main hub for replacement buses departing from Nottingham.
