Norwegian celebrates St. Patrick ’s Day at sea

Norwegian Cruise Line is bringing the luck of the Irish to sea on board each of its 11 Freestyle Cruising ships.

Guests can don their green attire and dancing shoes for special celebrations throughout the week of their St. Patrick’s Day sailing, complete with festive decorations, specialty beverages, themed menu items and live entertainment with traditional Irish jigs in the nightclub venues.

True to tradition, green beer will be available upon request, as well as specialty cocktails such as the Irish Eyes, made with Jameson whiskey, in any of the line’s pubs, bars or lounges including O’Sheehan’s Bar & Grill; Longboard, Red Lion, and Henry’s Pub.

Irish-style menu options such as corned beef and cabbage with butter boiled potatoes will be offered in select dining venues and each of the ship’s action station restaurants.

Those looking to enjoy live entertainment can dance the night away to Irish jigs in the nightclub venues; while others try to find their pot of gold in the ship’s casino.
