New sales leadership for Royal Caribbean in UK

Royal Caribbean International has hired two new senior sales personnel – a sales director to head up and lead the Royal Caribbean sales team and a new head of key accounts.

Sales director, Martin MacKinnon, will be joining the Royal Caribbean Sales team from early April, equipped with a fresh perspective and breadth of experience from a range of senior commercial leadership roles at Diageo.

Also previously head of sales at Kimberly Clark (covering Tesco and Ireland), MacKinnon will be joining the cruise line’s UK and Ireland senior leadership team and will be reporting to associate vice president and managing director for UK & Ireland, Ben Bouldin.

His new role will see him directing the now full complement Royal Caribbean Sales team.

Donna Carley will also be helping to amp-up the Royal Caribbean team as head of key accounts, bringing with her a consistent track record of developing and delivering winning sales strategies.

Carley joins from Hall & Woodhouse and will take up her new position at the beginning of April.

“We were intent on carrying out a thorough search for the role of sales director and in the end, we screened over 600 candidates,” said Bouldin, who played a key part in MacKinnon’s recruitment.

“In Martin I believe we’ve found a very credible individual with the passion for sales that this business demands.

“Similarly, Donna has the breadth of experience and the ambition and drive to equip her very well in the role of Head of Key Accounts.

“I look forward to working with them both and welcoming them to our Royal Caribbean sales team.”
