Manchester Airport has unveiled plans for a new brand of lounge that will open in Terminal Three in April costing £1.6 million.
1903, named after the year of the Wright Brothers first flight, will hold up to 71 people and provide a more premium offering for passengers looking to get their holidays off to a flying start.
With fantastic views of the airfield, the lounge will offer all-inclusive luxury in an adult-only environment.
With its own chef, passengers will be able to choose from seasonal dishes with locally sourced ingredients as well as enjoying complimentary drinks including premium spirits.
Passengers using the lounge will also be able to make use of Fast Track security and unlimited free Wi-Fi.
Ken O’Toole, chief executive, Manchester Airport, said: “We’re looking forward to the launch of 1903 in Terminal Three.
“It’s in a prime location and will offer passengers a real slice of luxury before their flight.
“We continually listen to the needs of our passengers and 1903 offers something different from our existing airport lounges.”
The lounge will be priced from £30 when booked in advance and is on sale from February 1st, 2017.
The airport has appointed Gariff Construction as the lead contractor.
Beth Brewster, executive vice president of business development and lounges for Manchester Airports Group, said: “1903 at Manchester Airport will be our flagship lounge for the brand and will provide passengers travelling through Terminal Three with the opportunity to begin their travel in the most enjoyable and relaxing manner possible.
“We expect to roll the brand out in due course to our other airports.”
